Goal Together Project #9 'Return Banteng to the Forest, Learn the Value of Balance'

Goal Together Project #9 'Return Banteng to the Forest, Learn the Value of Balance'

Mitmuanchon 2 Border Patrol Police School, Ban Tintok Community, Si Sawat District, Kanchanaburi Province

Wildlife conservation entails not only caring for one wild animal, but also caring for the environment in which it lives. For example, in order to conserve Banteng, we must protect the habitats and food sources of wild animals in the surrounding forest. When there is no forest or food, Banteng cannot survive or reproduce. Banteng conservation is a link between wildlife, forests, and communities that requires a concerted effort to restore the red cow population by pohibiting hunting and allowing Banteng to live in the wild.

Because when the Banteng survive, the forest survives intact, as does the community coalition that surrounds the forest.
The Suthirat Foundation recognizes the significance of the project to reintroduce Banteng into nature, with the goal of increasing the number of Banteng from Salak Phra Forest, Kanchanaburi Province, to Huai Kha Khaeng Forest, Uthai Thani Province, to avoid problems with close blood that could lead to extinction in the future.

This activity is a collaboration of volunteers, youth, and the general public in the Ban Tintok community area, Khao Chot Subdistrict, Si Sawat District, Kanchanaburi Province, who came together to raise awareness of Banteng conservation and realize the importance of conserving natural resources, living according to the community’s way of life, and jointly conveying various stories that led to the design of learning resource signs to be delivered to the community.
