People who eat rice may believe that organic farming is simple, but for farmers who have previously used chemical methods, transitioning to farming without spraying or fertilizer is difficult. The Suttirat Yoovidhya Foundation’s mission is to find farmers who “have a heart” for whatever reason and want to convert their rice fields to organic. The Foundation’s team will act as 'friends', offering advice and knowledge, as well as support and tools to help them get through difficult times. They will also help their organic rice reach the market and reach people who eat it on a regular basis. When they can stand on their own, the foundation’s mission is complete.
