Many Remote Areas Lack Medical Supplies

Even during the COVID-19 period, we saw many agencies accept donations of medical supplies and equipment for frontline teams, but with the number of patients increasing by the day, medical supplies are running out. The less remote an area as a donation location, the less likely they are to receive the necessary equipment.

Because many small communities have unfamiliar names and are remote from our knowledge, we may never learn about the situation in the area, the severity of the epidemic, or even the work of officials who work as diligently as those in larger communities. With less awareness and less equipment, their work becomes far more difficult than before.

But, regardless of how far away the community is, we must send medical supplies to them. Many communities have both hardworking doctors in hospitals and volunteer staff in small waiting areas. There are temples and schools that share space to help with the COVID-19 crisis. Therefore, teachers, monks, undertakers, and a large number of volunteers must interact with patients on a daily basis.

Consequently, the Suthirat Foundation launched the 'COVID-19 Relief' project to deliver PPE sets, face masks, disinfectant alcohol, herbal medicine, rice, and other essential supplies to remote and small communities across the country by delivering them to community hospitals, temples, schools, and waiting centers that have not yet received assistance with various equipment, allowing every team to fight COVID-19 safely. All of these have already been delivered to the recipient!

But our strength alone may not be sufficient. Everyone can still help send moral support to the frontline teams by making a donation to the foundation at

:: Kasikorn Bank

... And we’ll transform that assistance into critical equipment for frontline teams in many more communities.
