Suthirat Foundation has launched an educational project called “Organic Heart Safe Food Project in Schools”. The goal is to encourage students to learn about food safety and plant cultivation in the organic farming system through learning activities during “Teach Less, Learn More” hours, in order to increase knowledge and awareness of safe food and its impact on health and the environment. The foundation cooperates with

  1. Ban Samanmit School
  2. Wat Ta Khan School
  3. Ban Map Pa Wai School
  4. Chang Chon Sirirat Bamrung School

They are a Rayong Primary Educational Service Area Office, Area 1 school that serves as a pilot educational institution in Rayong Province’s educational innovation area. These are school that can adapt its curriculum to reflect the school's focus, local context, and student needs. Furthermore, the school is interested in organizing teaching and learning around natural organic agriculture as a learning point in order to connect and integrate with other learning subjects while also serving as a learning space for students. The goal is to create a curriculum for teaching organic farming in schools, which will serve as a model for other schools.

On May 19-20, the foundation's working group and agricultural experts (Ajarn Chukiat Koman) visited the area to monitor the project’s progress and provide advice on permaculture organic farming to all four participating schools in order to achieve the project's goal of increasing students’ knowledge of food safety and awareness of food that is safe for consumption.
