Poverty in Thailand is a factor that has an impact on Thai children’s education and puts them at risk of missing out on educational opportunities because they must bear expenses that interfere with their studies. As a result, the number of young people who do not attend school is expected to rise in the future. Currently, there are 56,016 children and youth in the C.C.F. Child Development Project, with 41 percent, or approximately 22,967 people, living with their grandparents or great-grandparents because their parents were hired in the urban area and came to work in Bangkok, while others are orphans because they were abandoned or their parents separated.

The rest, even if they live with their father and mother, or father and mother, or with relatives, but with the spread of the COVID-19 virus, household income has decreased, and they have parents from the C.C.F. Child Development Project, many people are unemployed and without income. Children who do not receive scholarship support are more likely to drop out of school.

Suthirat Yoovidhya Foundation recognizes the importance of work that influences the development of various aspects of society in order to benefit the public in accordance with the foundation’s spirit and goals.
