Project for Giving Books to Underprivileged Children in 2020

C.C.F. Foundation for Children and Youth

Reading is very important in stimulating brain function, improving memory, making you feel relaxed, and reducing stress. It also helps you focus on one thing and communicate more effectively. It is essential for the growth of knowledge, employment, and daily life, as it aids in the exercise of critical thinking and fortifies the imagination. It is especially advantageous for children who are in the midst of studying.

The Suthirat Yoovidhya Foundation collaborates with the C.C.F. Foundation to support children and youth under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. In 2020, the project was carried out to give books to underprivileged children, delivering children's books to 106 network schools in the areas of Chachoengsao, Lopburi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Sing Buri, Sa Kaeo, Kanchanaburi, and Bangkok, a total of 81,985 books for 6,667 students

In order to develop the library into a source of learning and research. Reading age-appropriate books will help children’s learning development. It is the starting point for accessing knowledge in education, which is an important prerequisite for developing into a quality adult.

In November 2020, the C.C.F. Foundation for Children and Youth delivered 81,985 Buddhajit Project books to 106 schools.

Reflections from the C.C.F Foundation for Children and Youth

“Project for Giving Books to Underprivileged Children”

Books supported by the Suthirat Yoovidhya Foundation, after being distributed to all 106 schools, have been used to expand knowledge as follows.

1. Love Reading Activity: The school prepared this exercise in which the students summarized the stories from the books and told them to their peers. It helps you improve your narrative and public speaking skills. According to statistics, students’ interest in visiting the library increased by 10% over the course of one month. Information as of December 20, 2020.

2. Booklet Activity: When students read books and tell stories based on what they have read, the booklet activity allows them to create booklets on topics of interest by conducting their own research.

3. Good Moral Children Activity: The school organizes prayer and meditation sessions. This activity involves the use of the prayer books that were received.

4. Family Reading Activity: Students can borrow books and read them at home with their families. In addition to helping children improve their reading skills, it can increase family time for activities together.

It contains entertaining pictures and content that educates me in a variety of ways. I have read other books. These are the books: Kamanita, Ramayana, and Vetal. They’re comic books that are both entertaining and educational. At school, we enjoy reading books and taking notes. I promise to make the best use of the books you give me. I’d like to say thank you again.”
