From the "Pak Nam Pran Model" to Revitalizing the Pathio Sea.The Suthirat Yoovidhya Foundation believes in creating conservation models that are both "edible" and sustainable. By drawing on the lessons learned from our success at Pak Nam Pran, we have expanded our efforts through a powerful collaboration with the local artisanal fishing community in Pathio Bay, Chumphon. Here, we have moved beyond a simple "Blue Swimming Crab Bank." We have elevated it into a "Crab Pawn Shop" a concept that transforms environmental awareness into a daily way of life. Through the incubation and release of millions of crab larvae back into the wild every year, Pathio Bay has once again become a "welcoming home" for diverse marine life and a symbol of a fully restored ecosystem.
Enhancing Quality of Life through Pride in the Fishing Way of Life. Beyond conservation lies the goal of community stability. We are committed to transforming local fishers into "green community entrepreneurs." Our initiatives range from creating artificial habitats (locally known as Sung) and managing marine debris (Ghost Fishing) to elevating the standards of processed seafood—ensuring it is clean, certified, and safe for consumers. This collaborative effort does more than just increase household income; it restores pride in the artisanal fishing profession. Together, we are ensuring that a bountiful and sustainable sea remains a thriving legacy for generations to come.
